Huddersfield Town AFC
A perfect place to start the match-day fun

Huddersfield Town AFC, formed in 1908, nicknamed The Terriers, play their home games at the John Smith's Stadium.

The club have a proud history and is rated highly in its communication with fans, working hard to attract new supporters, and create a memorable match-day experience.

LCG was asked to advise on the potential use of a portacabin for a family-friendly Community Hub. The portacabin had previously been used as a temporary retail space, whilst the club shop in the stadium was being refurbished.

A combination of 2 gaming pods and an easily accessible couch play unit was installed into the Community Hub, each housing a 43" 4K monitor, PlayStation 4 console, 2 controllers and Fifa 22.
Opened for the first time in October 2021, the activity zone also features a colouring area and table football, giving youngsters a safe, inclusive space that enhances the match-day experience.

"The Community Hub has become a key part of our match-day experience! New families are usually intrigued at first, then delighted when they see the consoles and other activities inside, whilst regular match goers come back every week. It’s great seeing these memorable moments being made." -
