Established in 1997, the current Fleetwood Town F.C. is the fourth incarnation of the club; it was originally formed in 1908. The club play its home matches at Highbury Stadium in Fleetwood and its supporters are affectionately known as the Cod Army, which is also the club nickname.
The game room, situated in the Lowery Suite within Highbury Stadium, was first opened in 2017, enhancing the match-day experience for youngsters with a mix of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, available to play prior to kick-off.
LCG was asked to audit the equipment in 2022, for a relaunch of the facility following the restrictions on attendance during lockdown throughout 2020-21.
Each console was updated with both the latest firmware and Fifa 22, with all equipment checked, replaced if damaged or missing and cleaned where necessary.
The game room is open prior to every league fixture at Highbury, available to youngsters under 16 with a matchday ticket. During weekdays the facility offers enrichment opportunities for BTEC or Foundation Degree students attending courses at Fleetwood Town Community Trust.
